When we come into this world as kids, From a very young age we usually have guidance and help from parents, siblings, friends, family members or even the community. These kind of help includes:- directing us when we come across new challenges, teaching us the basic human lessons like how to eat, greet, or behave, helping us when we need help and correcting us if need be.

Notice how all the above things changes once we grow other and live on our own. It is almost as if adults don’t like other adults. Let me give you a simple illustration.

You walk into an A.T.M gallery to make a withdrawal and the person that got there before you is just standing in front of you looking like he has lost hope in life.

And then you asked “is it dispensing”

He or she goes “I don’t know try it”

Only for you to put in your card and then the machine takes your card because it is faulty. You turn to him and give him a look that says “why didn’t you warn me about the faulty machine, I assume it took your card earlier”.

But he or she doesn’t care, he is only relived that he is not the only one going through the dilemma of loosing his card.

What am I saying in essence. People find it hard to help each other these days. Even when they know so well that helping another person will cost them nothing. They would decide not to…

The reason I started writing this was after reading @Ellawrites ‘s article titled you are doing well on read.cash-Where she basically explained that it is not okay to put yourself down just because people around you don’t see value in what you are doing or what you have to offer.

And she is right,90% of the time we don’t support each other because we don’t want a situation where by another person is doing better than we are. And instead of working on bettering our life we try to put them down or ignore them. It is not the right way.

And if you are reading this and you feel like you have been putting in work for 100% of your time and trying to create something for yourself but yet people around you aren’t helping. Don’t feel bad and don’t worry just keep doing all you can I promise you. It would all come together some day.

And so I say to everyone reading this do what you love so that even when you aren’t getting praises for putting in the work you wouldn’t be frustrated and discouraged to stop. And when the praises does come as they will, you would sit back and enjoy from the labour of all the time that you didn’t get praises or help.

Thank you for reading.
