Matthew 6:22 The light of the body is the eye: if therefore thine eye be single, thy whole body shall be full of light.
Our eyes serve as the domain of vision and focus on a worthy goal. It is expedient and very crucial that we choose what we focus our eyes on and when to do so, in order to ensure that our light is intact.
In the words of the Master today, singleness of the eyes means focus on eternal goals and values. It is an expression of oneness with Divinity on Kingdom matters.
What is your focus in life? It is possible to be distracted in a time as this. Economy, financial stress, family issues, singleness, poverty, among others, can distract one from focusing on the real deal: Heaven.
Thus, I came to remind us today, that everything capable of distracting us are temporary and shall vanish someday. The only thing that shall be forever is Christ and the Kingdom.
Let us focus on Christ and the service committed into our hands. Let us guide our eyes jealously that we may not lose focus. The grace to do so is sufficient.

Dear Heavenly Father, that you for our eyes. Please help us to focus on you and retain your light in our lives, in Jesus name. Amen.
