Hi guys… have you ever tasted the Nigerian Jollof rice. Its one of the best foods out there and my personal favorite.
I had to prepare it last night so bear with me as the pictures may not capture every detail but I will do well to explain the preparation method.
The ingredients you need include: Rice, dried fishes, Onions, Tomato, chicken, Vegetable oil, Water, Know cubes , water and salt.
Onions , Know cubes, salt, grinded pepper.
Its quite easy to prepare if you follow this simple steps
- Measure out the exact quantity of rice you need, wash or parboil the rice.
- Make the sauce for the jollof.
- In making the sauce add a little quantity of vegetable oil (about 35 mls) to a clean pot while heating.
- Then add sliced onions, allow to simmer for less than a minute, add the crushed dried fishes and tomato purry.
- Allow to simmer, then add the rice to the pot containing the sauce along with a commensurate amount of water (about 75cl to 10g rice) and allow to cook. The important thing is that the water is sufficient enough to boil the rice.
- While cooking, add Know cube and salt and the chicken. Allow to cook completely and serve to your taste.
I love the delicacy because it is absolutely yummy/delicious. Asides that, it is easy to prepare and takes little time once you have a good heat source.
I bet once you have had a taste you are going to definitely include it to your food table. Just try it out!
