💃💃Yaaay, it's mouthwatering and my flatmate can't keep salivating😋

But how can I hide the sweet aroma of the food?
Indeed, it's yummy and I can but only ask you to come join me cuz the difference lies in the taste; a sweet blend mix of the yummy yummy Nigerian jollof rice with beans.

Truth be told, my favourite food is actually Okra soup with a little of fluted pumpkin leaves and a generous blend of palm oil in it.

Today however, I couldn't afford making it due to some unusual cravings that came from the breakfast I had earlier in the day at a restaurant.

It's the popular Nigerian jollof rice with beans from a Yoruba woman! A sumptuous meal that was not only delicious but succeeded in aligning my longing for it when I got back home from work.

Normally, a jollof rice isn't prepared alongside with beans but I decided to go for the mix cuz I loved the way I had it in the morning and here's how I got the wonderful meal served as my dinner.

In preparing the Nigerian jollof rice mixed with beans, I got some beans and picked them to remove dirts before parboiling with water to soften.

Upon attaining considerable softness, I sieved it and kept it aside.

In a similar manner, rice was also parboiled and set aside for the preparation of the stewing sauce to blend both the rice and beans together.

While the parboiling processes were going on, I seized the time interval in preparing my condiments for the food which included :
~ cutting onions and fresh tomatoes,
~ grinding fresh pepper and
~ selecting/grinding of crayfish.

Once they were achieved, I had my pot set on fire and added groundnut oil followed by the grinded fresh pepper, onions and tomato paste. They were stirred generously to mix well before adding my seasonings; thyme, curry powder, seasoning cubes and some salts.

The stew sauce was set and I proceeded to adding the parboiled rice and beans with some water of considerable amount. Then, I allowed the food to boil favourably without excessive stirring to avoid sticking of the rice to each other.

To ensure that I enjoyed a great deal of nutritional value from my prepared with my basic food biochemistry knowledge,

I decided to add some fresh tomatoes and cut onions set aside previously to the food when it was almost done and it looked really fresh, full of phytochemicals devoid of denaturing by excessive heat supply.

And that's how I got my sumptuous meal prepared and ready for serving.

🤔Now, imagine deciding to serve the food with a bottle of Coca Cola drink in a tray and enjoying the food mix blend under the coolbreeze of the evening moonlight just like the way I did.

You would believe with me that the feeling is ecstatic, soul-relieving, deliciously-mouthwatering and contagious enough to have your neighbors sitting next to you to share in the beautiful taste of your cooking dexterity just like mine.

And that's how I got to sleep off before waking to put forth my post here.
Indeed, cooking a nice meal is magical and the difference lies in the taste!!!
