Barry Allen the normal guy, like all superheroes his story had to be a little sad, he watched his mum killed by his enemy which he would only learn later in his life, he also had to witness his father been arrested for the crime.
Who doesn't love him, we all know the story a lighting bolt struck him and gifted him with the ultimate speed, which was given to him by the speed force.
Is all about speed though, he is the fastest man on earth and his speed gives more than speed, if you watched the CW series you would know that he move his body which allows him to walk or run through objects. Let's not forget he can between earth and time.
Now with all that being said, we can understand why he plays such a pivotal role in the Justice League even with him been so young, he was chosen by Batman.
