Ice Man - Robert Louis Drake
An omega mutant, his powers came out very differently he was always cold and getting colder by the day, his parents were afraid that if they let his powers out it would put his life in danger. He first used his powers when he was attacked by a gang of bullies lead by Rocky Beasley.
After this, the wheels were rolling, people have heard of the attack and decided to hunt down Robert, that's when Cyclops was sent in to rescue him by Professor X, Robert did not want to go in with Cyclops and then of course a fight broke out, Professor X stepped in via mind control and stopped the mob and saved Robert.
That's when Robert knew he had to join the X-Men to protect himself
