If all of Marvel's ten-year-long movies were listed as 'Wars-to-Best', Thor: Dark World would be at the top of the list. The box office of this movie, which failed to win the hearts of the audience-critics, is also weak. The second film in the Thor trilogy, directed by Kenneth Branah, is directed by Game of Thrones director Alan Taylor.

Although the number of movies he directed was small, Alan was not new to the world of directing at all. In addition to Game of Thrones, he has directed several episodes of Mad Man and The Sapranos. However, despite his skill, he could not save Thor from the abyss.
As can be seen at the beginning of the movie, the depressed Thor is not engaged in various battles in the realm. The grief of not being able to see Jane is well settled in her. Then a wrecked man is seen in Asgard's prison. The villain in this episode of the movie is an elf named Malekith, who tries to destroy the whole universe with a terrifying weapon called 'Ether'. Thor has to go down in a life-and-death battle to save the remaining nine planets, including Earth. As simple as the story of the movie may seem after hearing the plot, in fact it was even more dull. There was no depth in the story. With a budget of about 180 million, the movie had a box office gross of 744 million, the lowest in the cinematic universe.
