He’s been an X-Man for many years now, but he has had little screen time to indicate for it. Given a background role in X-Men: Days of Future Past, Bishop has successfully made the leap from the magazine page; but he has yet to play as prominent of a job as he does within the comics.
A time-traveling mutant with the flexibility to soak up and redirect energy, Bishop is one amongst the harder X-Men characters for writers to integrate into the fold. Time travel stories will be tricky—and they don’t always re-evaluate well with fans—which seems to stay Bishop perennially sitting on the sidelines.
