Marvel Superhero HULK

Most underrated superhero film ever. It's so good. I don't get the hate for this movie. It was actually a decent film and not hard to understand the story. I even liked and understood the movie back when I was 6 or 7 years old. I used to watch it with my parents a lot. I have Hulk on Blu-ray and the film still holds up pretty well.

The acting is mostly great. The cast is amazing. Eric Bana is perfect as Bruce Banner. Far better than that overrated Mark Ruffalo. Eric Bana's acting is superb. Jennifer Connelly is perfect as Betty Ross and her chemistry with Eric Bana is amazing. Sam Elliot is great as General "Thunderbolt" Ross. Jennifer Connelly is amazing, period. Her character betty is much better written than the 2008 version. In the 2008 version, she's essentially a side character. A dismissive girlfriend to bruce. Basically I really hated that, because she's an underrated character that could be used in so many different ways and interpretated in so many different ways, and they choose to make her irrelevant. In the 2003 version, she has flavor. She's her own character who can hold her own and isn't just banner's gf. In fact, she's the EX of bruce, now working awkwardly with him as scientists. Of course, there's so much sexual tension you could cut it with a knife, and they've obviously fallen, but they're not really TOGETHER together. They're romantic, but to a limit. I mean, he does come with a lot of unsorted emotional baggage. Her father is portrayed pretty well, cold and overprotective to an annoyance. He only really wants to control bruce for the power. The dad is actually very complex, and his actor (I forget the name) adds some depth to him. Though, oberall, the acting was so-so, with Erik Bana being a great bruce banner and an okayish-to-good hulk.

Nick Nolte is amazing as the antagonist, David Banner. This film was ahead of its time. Ang Lee brought a lot of dramatic depth and substance to this film. Hulk is more than a superhero film, it's an art house film, a Greek tragedy. I feel like a lot of people disliked this movie was because there wasn't enough action in it, which is ridiculous because there was plenty of good and entertaining action in this movie.
