One of the earliest recruits to the second wave of the X-Men team, Sunfire has the ability to absorb the sun’s radiation and emit it as hot, powerful plasma blasts.

Never a true believer like many of his other teammates, Sunfire has had an on-again, off-again relationship with the X-Men for decades. Sometimes showing up as an ally of the team, other times as an adversary, Sunfire’s complicated relationship with the X-Men would make him a great film character whose motives kept the audience guessing.
