Who doesn't know Deadpool now? But even three years ago, very few viewers knew about this anti-hero of Marvel. When the first Deadpool movie was released in 2016, the general public may know about a new superhero. A superhero who refuses to call himself a hero. A superhero who knows that he is a fictional comic book character. The talkative nature, the humorous personality made him popular overnight. The most interesting aspect of it is to talk to the audience through the pages of comics and movie screens. But does anyone know that it is actually inspired by a character from DC Comics.

The DC Comics character is named Slade Wilson, aka Deathstroke the Terminator. On the other hand, the real name of Deadpool is Wade Wilson. There are many more similarities between them than just the names. For example, both are anti-heroes. Both were mercenaries (paid soldiers serving in foreign armies) before they took on new forms. The main weapons of both of them are swords and pistols. Both have the potential to heal on their own. However, this power of Deadpool is much more than a death stroke. Of course the personalities of these two characters are completely opposite.

Deathstroke's first appearance in DC Comics was in 1970 with the second issue of The New Teen Titans Comics. On the other hand, almost 11 years later, the 98th issue of 'The New Mutants' comics came into the comic book world of Deadpool. Although there are many similarities between the two characters, Deadpool creator Rob Lefeld disagrees. The Los Angeles comic bride revealed this last year.
