Crisostomo - Blue Bay Walk - Pasay - Philippines
Becoming a local food blogger
I took my passion for food to the next level by creating my own blog. It has been going on for over 5 years already and I couldn't be happier. Or so I thought. When the Blurt knocked on my door (or otherwise) I felt "hungry" and until then I had to show my comments to a wider / wider audience. I am happy with this on this project.
Anyway, my giggle is probably forcing you to hang, so I'll continue to review the dishes now.
Chrysostomo - an upscale Philippine restaurant
For this article, I will share with you my dining experiences at Christmaso, a Filipino restaurant that specializes in finding traditional dishes. It is located on the Blue Bay Walk in Pace City. The exact address is located below, where you will also find a summary of the review for speed reading.
Indoor and modern interior
What's interesting about the interior is that it combines traditional elements with modern design. The result is a "fresh" classic. Lanterns also add a touch of atmosphere.
Classic traditional Philippine cuisine
Chrysostomo has chosen to preserve the classic charm and flavor of traditional food. Subtle changes can occur, but essential flavors and ingredients are retained. So if you're looking for an "old-style" Homoeo Filipino dish, Chrysostomo is a great candidate.
Interestingly, the names of the dishes are given by Dr. It talks about Jose Rijal (our national hero) Obra Maestra.
Anyway, let's take a look at some of the dishes we have.
Mesa El Sabella (P475 | 50 9.50) - Corn-flavored seafood soup. Balanced with the mild sweetness of corn, it kisses the buds with a slightly sour taste and gets rid of the sap of seafood.
Don Filippo (P345 | $ 6.09) - A sauce-based adobe-like dish mixed with vinegar and soy sauce using squid ink. This includes pickling and pushing right over the fresh squid.
Senang Kun Liang (P255 | $ 5.10) - A vegetable dish with hints of pepper mixed with coconut milk using gabi ("taro"). You'll love how intensely creamy it is as it firmly embraces the leaves with strong aromas.
Kare Ang Kor (P550 | $ 11.00) - A savory dish of vegetables and beef cooked with crushed nuts. The taste is very balanced - peanuts with just the right amount of sweetness. It's also creamy! To me, this is a great curry dish I've tasted.
here you go! These are the dishes we tried for this special dining experience, all mixed well with white rice. I give them two thumbs up for quality and taste! One of the most notable Filipino restaurants!
