Hey friends, what are some dishes that you guys must have during Chinese New Year? For me, it's Hei Zho/Prawn Rolls. For the Hokkien, it may look a like Ngoh Hiang or Lobak (Penang) but there's quite a few differences.
This dish is a must have during Chinese New Year, especially for the Teochew. And because I'm a Teochew, I feel obliged to share this recipe with everyone.

It's surprisingly easy to make and here's the ingredients you will need:
600g Shrimps
300g Minced Pork
10 Water Chestnuts
4 Stalks Cilantro (can also use spring onions)
Beancurd skin
1 tbsp light soy sauce
1 tbsp oyster sauce
1 tsp salt
1 tsp sesame oil
1 tsp five-spice powder
1 fresh egg
1 tsp corn starch
Orange Oil Soy Sauce (Teochews love this dipping sauce)
Steps:
Mix up the filling
Add filling into the beancurd skin and roll
Steam for 15 minutes.
Cool down and cut into small pieces
Fry at high heat until golden brown
Plate and serve
