As I surveyed the stalls at Golden Mile Food Centre earlier this afternoon during my visit there, I noticed two stalls had the longest queue, Hainan Chicken Rice (#B1-53) and Chung Cheng Chilli Mee (#01-59).
Had not eaten at both stalls before but I decided give Chilli Mee a try since I wasn’t keen on having a rice-based meal for my lunch as I just had Nasi Lemak for breakfast but I waited for the lunch crowd to thin out first before placing my order for the full works $5.00 dry version with pork ribs and prawns included.
And it was a good decision as the special chilli which I believed had belacan included gave the beehoon-mee combo a fillip, a special spicy kick quite different from the chilli at other prawn mee stalls. Perspired a bit as I finished my lunch. Shiok! 😋
P.S... Golden Mile Food Centre will be closed from 1 Dec 2020 to 28 Feb 2021 for repairs and redecoration works.
