Homemade Pizza Recipe
Hi Everyone! I am here to present my 4th food recipe to SteemFoods.
I am a one who love making my food at my own because I feel homemade foods are healthier and tastier. Usually the food bought by the shops contain many additional flavors and preservatives that are not good to health. If we make food at own, we can avoid using things not good for health. Also we can make our food as we prefer if we make them at home.
Yesterday I wanted to eat pizza,. Now I am going to tell you how we made pizzas.
Making Pizza Dough
Ingredients
• Wheat flour- 250g
• Coconut oil- 1 tbsp
• Sugar- 1 tsp
• Yeast- 1 tsp
• Salt- ½ tsp
• Lukewarm water- 125 ml
First, we put yeast, sugar and lukewarm water to a bowl and let them rest for 10 minutes to make yeast active.
After 10 minutes, we put flour, oil, and active yeast to a bowl and mixed. If the added water is not enough, some extra water should be added to the mixture. We made a ball and took it out. Next we kneaded it for about 10 minutes. After kneading we could see that the dough had become softer.
Next we coat the dough with some oil and put it to a bowl. We covered the bowl and let it rest till the dough would become double in size. It took about an hour for that.
Making Red Pizza Sause
Ingredients
• 2 tomatoes
• Half of a B-onion
• 3 cloves of garlic
• 1-inch piece of ginger
• Oil- 1 tbsp
• Sugar- 2 tsp
• Salt- ½ tsp
• Pepper powder- ½ tsp
• Chili flakes- 1 tsp
(You can change the amount of spices as you prefer)
First we cut onion, garlic and tomatoes into pieces and put them to a pan and cook it in low flame for about 3 minutes. After that we let them cool down and then blended them.
Next we placed a pan on the gas cooker and added some oil in it. When the oil became hot, we put the blended mixture to it. Also we added all the spices and mixed. Then we let the mixture cook till it thickened on low flame. Then our red pizza sauce was ready.
Making White Pizza Sause
We didn’t have cheese at home, so we made white sauce as a substitute.
Ingredients
• Butter- 2 tbsp
• Wheat flour- 2 tbsp
• Chopped garlic- 2 tsp
• Chopped ginger- 1 tsp
• Milk- 125ml
• Salt – ½ tsp
This is how we made white sauce. We put a pan on the fire and put butter in it. When it melted, we added milk while mixing the mixture to avoid making lumps. Finally we added ginger, garlic and salt and let it cook for about 3 minutes.
Then our white sauce is ready. Believe me, using white sauce makes a tastier pizza than using cheese.
Making pizza
I made vegetable pizzas because me and my sister don’t eat meat. We took tomatoes, carrots, leeks, some green chilies, B-onions and cut them into pieces. If you want you can add sausages, chicken or any other meat to pizzas.
When the dough became double in size, we put it in a tray and flatted it making the shape of pizza. (We didn’t have a pizza tray, so we used a normal baking tray). Then we made small holes in it like below using a fork.
Then we applied red pizza sauce on it.
On the top of the sauce we put pieces of vegetables. Then we applied white sauce on the top. Also we scattered some chili flakes on the top of pizzas.
Next, it was time to bake the pizzas. We placed pizza in the preheated oven to 220 Celsius and baked pizza for about 15 minutes. If you like the pizza crust to be baked more, you can keep it in the oven for more time.
Then over pizzas were ready. This is how they looked at the end.
This is how we made pizzas at our own. We didn’t use any artificial flavor and we made all sauces at home. But they were amazing. They were delicious and good smelling and we ate them with homemade tomato sauce.
