Hallo Blurt Freunde!
Gebratene Mungobohnen Sprossen
Zutaten:
(Für 2 Portionen)
500 g Mungobohnensprossen - aus dem Supermarkt
1 rote Zwiebel - in Scheiben geschnitten
2 Knoblauchzehen, dünn geschnitten oder gepresst
Olivenöl
Salz und Pfeffer
ein paar Blätter Petersilie, geschnippelt
Sojasauce
Zubereitung:

Hello Blurt Friends!
Today, I am sharing a very healthy food that I cooked yesterday. I happened to pass by a supermarket the other day, and I saw this freshly delivered mung bean - sprouts. I make my own sprouts at home but due to our relocation, I just couldn´t find the time to do other things such as growing my own nowadays.
It is a very healthy food and costs almost nothing if you grow this yourself. I find it expensive to be buying this in the supermarkets. A 250 gram pack will cost around 1.50 Euros and the quantity is simply small.
My former office in the 4th District in Vienna had been just a hop crossing the street to the Naschmarkt. Naschmarkt is the food mecca in the city. And there, I used to get the Sprouts per kilo so fresh that I do not even thought of growing them myself.
So let´s go on and I will describe how I prepare this simple recipe. It´s a Stir-fry one... so easy peasy. You can also add the sprouts in your salad and eat them raw. Just remember to blanch it first for at least 1 minute , so any germs are eradicated.
Stir-fry Mung Beans Sprouts
Ingredients:
For 2 Servings
500 grams Mung Beans Sprouts - (from the Supermarket)
1 red onion - sliced
2 cloves garlic, thinly sliced or crushed
Olive oil
salt and pepper
a few leaves of parsley, snipped
soy sauce
Preparation:
1... Wash the sprouts...boil enough water in a casserole. Add the sprouts and blanch for about 1 minute or until the liquid begins to boil again. Take out and put it a colander to drain.
2... In a wok/pan , add 2 tablespoons of cooking oil, fry the garlic first and then add the onions, the leaves of the parsley and stir-fry until the onions become brown in color.
Add the sprouts, when stir-fying , water should come out of the sprouts. If you would like to have it a bit dry, remove excess liquid, then season with 1 tablespoon soy sauce, sprinkle it all-over, add salt and pepper. Adjust the spices according to your taste. Serve hot with rice or baguette.
Note: If you are not vegan, you can add fried pork filet to the cooked sprouts which is marinated with soy sauce then fried in oil, spiced with salt and pepper.
It´s done!
