Today I am going to share with you how to prepare delicious coconut kisses, Venezuelan style.
These sweets are very popular here in my country, and as their name indicates, they are made with coconut.
It is not uncommon to see its sale on the road, and in different homes.
Ingredients
.1 dry coconut
.Sweet anise
.½ brown sugar
.½ kilo of self-rising wheat flour
Preparation
The first thing we have to do is place the papelón in a pot with water, add the sweet anise and cook over low heat until the paper melts, when it is ready, remove it from the heat and let it rest.
Then, we chop the coconut and remove the pulp, and then scratch it with a grater.
When the papelón is cold, we move it to a more comfortable container to be able to mix more easily, and simultaneously we add the striped coconut and the half a kilo of flour and thus we begin to beat until our mixture is homogeneous.
Once this is done, we prepare our tray with oil and flour to start making our coconut kisses, let's try to make them as round as possible, to give it a good appearance, once ready we take them to the oven for 10 to 15 minutes depending on our oven.
Once ready we can enjoy a delicious snack that is easy, quick to make and excellent to share.
