Good morning my friends, today we will eat something that I really love it , be my guest and join me .
I will also help you create this

Ingredients

Hard flour or for all uses 1 kg
Fresh yeast 100 gr
Milk 120 g hot
Sugar 400 gr
Warm water 120 gr
Mahlepi 1 tablespoon full of grated
Salt 1/2 teaspoon
Mastic 1 teaspoon grated
Corn oil 1 tablespoon full
Eggs 5 pcs
Anise 1 tablespoon (optional)
Αγελ. butter 200 g melted
(Almonds optionally grated) or
white and black sesame for sprinkling

Preparation

In a bowl, dissolve the yeast with lukewarm water, a little sugar and flour, 1 tablespoon, mix well and leave to rise.

In a bowl, first put the sugar, salt, machete, mastic, anise and oil, mix a little, add the hot milk and mix. Break the 4 eggs and mix them into our dough.

Then add the puffed yeast. Mix by hand (not mixer) and start to add the flour slowly. Once the flour is wet with the rest of the ingredients, add the hot butter gradually and work it by hand, folding the dough until absorb all the butter (do not knead it too much). Cover it and let it double in volume.

When it is ready, cut it into 3 balls for each bun, shape it into strips and knit in a braid. Spread with the yolk of an egg that we dissolved with a little oil and sprinkle with the grated almonds optionally or with white and black sesame.

Leave for 60 minutes. Put oil paste in a pan, place the buns inside and bake them at 170 degrees in the air for 35 -40 minutes (depending on our oven).

  • They come out depending on the size we want 3 buns.

Stay safe and healthy my friends and take care of your people

My best wishes from Greece
