Introduction
On the occasion of bringing new paddy in the house or on the occasion of the arrival of winter, the competition of making pitha started in every house of Bengalis. Pitha is not only a delicacy of ours, it is an airy combination of our Bengali culture, traditions and relationships. These cakes also represent our culture and natural diversity.
So on the arrival of the guest in the house, to feed the guest by making different types of cakes, Bengali women make different types of cakes. Only then the minds of rural women are satisfied. The guests are happy to eat all kinds of cakes. Winter, in fact, awakens in the minds of village women the desire to make cakes.
About Khola Pitha
It is very difficult to find a person in Bangladesh who does not know this cake. As soon as winter arrives, at every street corner or in every corner of the city, the sight of selling this cake and eating this cake along the line catches the eye. Assorted mash and this cake seems to have become a Bengali tradition.
Cake's Bengali name is Pitha .This cake is known as Khola Pitha in our regional language as it is made in a clay pan. Another name is Chitai Pitha. This cake has a very scattered round shape and has many small holes in its body.

How to make a cake
- First mix the rice powder and the amount of salt and the amount of hot water to make a paste. Then gently pour water over it so that the mixture is not too thick or too thin.
- Then heat the clay pan for a long time in the oven. Then take the mixture with a round spoon and pour it on the clay pan. Then cover it with a lid. Then sprinkle some amount of water on the lid.
- After a while, lift the lid up and check if the cake is ready. If the cake is not well heated, it may remain raw in the middle. Which would not be good to eat.
- Once the cake is ready, place it in a container or plate from a clay pan with a fork.
How to serve this cake
The open cake or Khola Pitha is delicious with any type of mash, fish curry, beef or mutton or chicken or duck. You can also eat it mixed with molasses or date juice, which is very traditional.
However, this cakes like the Bengali people, most likes to eat with different types of mashed. For example, dry fish mashed, mustard mashed, mashed of leaves of coriander. Apart from these, there are many more ingredients with many more ingredients and this cakes are eaten with that type of mashed.
As soon as winter comes, the fuss of making this cake starts. Each cake is sold for 10 to 15 rupees. People also love to eat this hot cake while standing on the street. Of course, this is one of my favorite cakes. My mother used to make this cake every few days. This cake is eaten as breakfast or afternoon snack.
