Venezuelan Perico // Perico venezolano

Greetings my dear readers, it is inevitable to think and remember my grandmother every day in every moment of my cooking, today a particular dish that she made for us very often, because of that custom, I also keep that tradition, I pamper my family every time I can. This dish is called "Perico" and it is scrambled eggs with fried onion and tomato, in my country it is a very favorite breakfast, we accompany it with arepa or bread

Saludos mis apreciados lectores, es inevitable pensar y recordar a mi abuela todos los días en cada momento de mi cocina, hoy un platillo en particular que ella nos hacia muy a menudo y debido a esa costumbre, pues yo también conservo esa tradición, mimo y consiento a mi familia cada vez que puedo. Este platillo se llama " Perico " y son huevos revueltos con un sofrito de huevo y tomate, en mi país es un desayuno muy favorito, lo acompañamos con arepa o pan

Butter ( optional )

Salt

Milk ( optional )

Procedure // Procedimiento

Take the onion to medium heat with the oil (you can use colored oil), wait until the onion is transparent, add the tomato and mix well, cook for four minutes, add salt, beat the eggs and add a little milk, add to our pot and wait until it takes consistency

Details of this recipe:

The butter is optional, you can add it at the time of using the oil, this provides more flavor with half a tablespoon

Ripe tomatoes provide enough colour to avoid using artificial colourings

Milk is added to the beaten eggs to give our perico a fluffy feeling

Remember to use a non-stick pan and the measurement per person is approximately two eggs

This breakfast is one of the favorites of Venezuelans, some add peppers, sausages, ham. The original recipe is only with onions and tomatoes, I hope you enjoyed this post full of flavor and love!

Llevar a fuego medio la cebolla con el aceite ( puedes usar aceite con color ) esperamos a que la cebolla este transparente, añadir el tomate y mezclar bien, cocinar por cuatro minutos, agregar la sal, batir los huevos y agregarle un chorrito de leche, agregamos a nuestra olla y esperamos a que tome consistencia

Detalles de esta receta:

La mantequilla es opcional, la puedes agregar al momento de usar el aceite, esta aporta mas sabor basta con media cucharada

El tomate maduro aporta suficiente color nos evita usar colorantes artificiales

La leche se le agrega a los huevos batidos para darle esponjosidad a nuestro perico

Recuerda usar un sarten anti-adherente y la medida por persona es aproximadamente dos huevos

Este desayuno es uno de los favoritos de los venezolanos, hay quienes les agregan pimientos, salchichas, jamón. La receta original es solo con cebolla y tomate, espero hayas disfrutado de este post lleno de mucho sabor y cariño!
