Dough
1 Tablespoon dry yeast
1 Teaspoon salt
2 eggs
2/3 cups of sugar
6 Tablespoons oil
3 Tablespoons sour cream
1 and 1/3 cup of warm milk
5 to 6 cups flour
Whisk eggs, oil, sugar, salt sour cream, vanilla and slowly add warmed milk. Sprinkle yeast on top let sit 15 minutes.
Add to the flour and mix. When dough is made knead the dough till smooth about 10 minutes. Let rest covered for an hour in a warm place.
Knead again and let rest 30 minutes.
Prepare your dough for filling.
After filled and shaped let rest
Again for a half hour before baking.
Filling
One cup butter
1 1/2 cups almond chopped or almond flour
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup light brown sugar
Topping
2 eggs beaten
2 tablespoons milk
1/2 cup shaved almonds
Roll out the dough
Spread melted butter generously
Press the nut mixture
Roll the dough tightly.
Cut into circles.
Egg wash the tops and sprinkle with shaved almonds.
Let rise one more time for 25 minutes covered.
Place in baking dish and bake at 350 for about 25 to 30 minutes.
They should be doubled and golden brown
