I wasn't able to finish this food that Mother had gave me but I did finished the snails cooked in coconut cream because they are not only nutritious but also delicious.
This made me to set aside the food in the left side which was the meat with gravy meal in a bowl. I just took some of the rice from it and ate it with the coconut cream with the snails.
Even though my gums are hurting I am able to eat more anyways and tediously pulled-out the snail meat from the shells one by one because I could not simply suck them out as they are not tender enough and their tails are just stuck and I have to push and pull the meat in order to eat them.
After a while I was able to finish eating the snails. I just needed a more spicier dish but it seems that my mouth is already conditioned to eat spicy foods now compared from a couple of years back where my gums are just so inflamed from within because of the enlarged facial bone that I was contending with.
As months pass-by my facial bone is just receding back and I can feel it because right now I am able to converse to people and eat while sitting up again. But I know that I will not get back my former appearance unless some form of miracle happens to me once again. But I am not clinging to that impossibility and for me I just wanted to eat normally again and not suffer more from facial bone deformation.
Anyway I happen to really like vegetables cooked with coconut cream not because simply of its nutty taste. I prefer leafy vegetables with some fried dried anchovies for flavor and extra protein and of course a ton of red hot chili peppers.
But these snails are a winner because of the taste and the nutrients that I get from them especially the protein and minerals that are beneficial to my health.
I miss and craving for that snails in a coconut cream with kangkong.
Awesome..
Next time you can send me some invites 😀
