This dish is simple but very flavourful. The main highlight of this dish is of course the sauce. The delicious dipping sauce made with lots of fresh garlic, chilies, cilantro, lime juice and sugar.
- Ingredients:
1.32 lbs fresh squid
- For sauce: Adjust according to taste*:
3-4 tbsp fish sauce
1 tbsp sugar
1 tbsp lime juice
5-6 cloves of garlic, chopped finely
2-3 shallots, finely chopped
1-2 bird-eye chilli, chopped finely
4-5 fresh coriander roots, washed with roots removed and cut finely
1-2 lemongrass
- Intructions:
To make sauce: mix all the sauce ingredient in a bowl stir until sugar fully dissolved.Adjust if necessary.
To make squids:
Wash and rinse squid, remove innards clean.
Slice squid surface into few segments then places on a plate.
Place squid in a shallow steaming plate for 5 minutes.
Serve: Once squid is cooked transfer them into a serving plate and pour the sauce over it and garnish with the coriander. Serve immediately.
