When we think about healthier options for Filipino food, Lumpiang Sariwa is most likely one of the first recipes that comes to mind. And that's because it introduces a large amount of nutritious ingredients without compromising on taste. The smooth, velvety brown sauce made with pork, garlic, soy sauce and more really brightens up our fillings. And a huge plus is that it's really easy to do.
Now for the stone itself, it would certainly take a lot of materials to complete it. From shrimp to tofu to peanuts, we're sure to fill our grocery carts a little with the bulk of these ingredients. However, I would definitely say that these are all common ingredients used in the recipes, so it shouldn't go to waste. That, and Lumpiang Sariwa is fortunately one of those dishes that you won't get tired of easily. It's refreshing, sweet and savory at the same time! You can certainly prepare more for future meals or larger gatherings.
