The Ordinary Cook

I like to cook. I learned to cook gradually, at first I made the simplest dishes and only to satisfy my hunger. Over the years I have found that I can cook more and more complicated dishes.

I am an amateur chef, I didn't learn to cook at any school or restaurant. I learned at home and as I said before, I learned out of necessity. The need to eat!

I have been cooking almost daily for several years. My wife is happy with that. I'm cooking for pleasure now. Cooking calms me down and relaxes me. Provided I cook alone, no one interferes in what I do.

I like to cook in the simplest way, I like to make simple foods, everyday foods as ordinary people eat.

I like to show how I cook. While cooking, I often take pictures so that I can later show the recipe, the way of cooking. I don't take the best photos, I mean not the photos are the most important thing. The most important thing is the food!

I generally don't want to post recipes. They can be found everywhere, from TV, Youtube, magazines and books. I want to show you a way to prepare food. My way!

Today's Barbecue

My son visited me today and he is a barbecue enthusiast. For him I prepared a steak and sausages. At first, of course, I made the fire.

This time I will cook a little. Usually, when I make a barbecue, I cook many kinds, for many people, my friends. Just a little bit now, for our little family.

All products are pork. After the right embers were formed, I put the pork neck first.

Then came the sausages. There are two kinds. Spicy sausages and some smaller ones, specific to the Balkans, called "mici" which means small in Romanian. These "mici" are everyone's favorite, they are never missing from the grill!

I also found some sausages and even a fish in the fridge. I also put them on the grill because it seemed to me that there was not enough food. Better to have more.

This is where today's barbecue ends. I can say it was tasty!
