Crispy Pata with Pickled Papaya on the Side

Sunday is a sacred day for us. It is the day that the family come together and just spend a lazy day with all the comfort and convenience we can have for ourselves. A day to recharge before we start another work week. We are all adults in the family so this is how we do it now.

Good food is always the center piece of the dining table and for lunch today we have crispy pata or deep fried pork thigh and leg part. It is perfect with a little bit of sour appetizer on the side that we call atchara or pickled papaya. Oh the crunch and the soury flavor just go together perfect. This is definitely a cheat day, too!
