Seafoods are not for everyone. When I was little, I rarely eat seafood because they looked too scary for me back then, but as I was growing up, I was curious why they are expensive and how my friends love them. I decided to try the safe looking ones like battered shrimps and I never looked back since. I tried them one by one, I have some favorites like shrimp and squid but recently I was brave enough to try the near-raw oysters. Oh my God! It was a surprise, I loved how it tasted and there is so much more to it than how it looks.
In this picture, it is plated in a good piece of ceramics and look at that, it looks like heaven sent! I love it baked with melted cheese and seasoned with pepper and salt and that's it. So easy to cook and so simple a dish but the taste is world class. It is expensive also because they have to be cultured and fresh before it hits the table. I could eat this every meal, just a few pieces because it could make me broke, for sure. Do you love oysters?
