Hi guys, I purposely took a 1.5 hours drive to a friend's banana farm adjoining to jungle where he has a 'wild durian' (grow wild in jungle) tree fruiting. This type of durians is quite rare in West Malaysia but quite common in Borneo. This fruit is rather small and very thorny and aroma wise, not many people would like as it has gassy ammonia aftertaste and isn't fleshy. There are few species that I know of (see last photo)... Hope this info can be added knowledge to all durian lovers out there....
p/s: drove there today morning
