- Using Instant Spicy Sauce
In Indonesia, we are accustomed to using instant chili sauce for various types of food. We're just crazy spicy. We were born to love spicy food. LOL.
Chili sauce products in Indonesia have many variations. Some have been mixed with various types of spices so that they can be used for seasoning to cook food.
So in this recipe, I only use instant chili sauce and added salt and pepper.
I'm sure your country also has a delicious spicy chili sauce!
You can use instant pasta sauce which is usually used for spaghetti. Trust me, it will help you from laziness.
- Using the baking method in the oven
The baking method is considered healthier than frying because it uses less oil.
What I love about oven baking is convenience. I can leave my food on the timing without fearing it will burn.
That's why I say it will help your dinner even if you are lazy.
Materials needed
Sweet Potatoes
You can replace the potatoes. The taste will also be more savory. I use sweet potatoes because they are cheaper here. Besides that, sweet potatoes have a lower glycemic index than potatoes.Chili sauce

Salt and pepper
Cooking Method
- Step 1
Cut the sweet potatoes into cubes. Then arrange on a baking tray. Sprinkle with salt, pepper, and a little oil. Stir well.
- Step 2
Bake the sweet potatoes at a temperature of 180 degrees Celsius for 45 minutes.
In the 25th minute, try turning the sweet potatoes to make them cook more evenly.
- Step 3
After 45 minutes, add the chili sauce and stir it evenly. Bake again for about 5 minutes.
- Step 4
Remove and serve. You can add vegetables or other menus as your dinner.
TIP: You can roast other vegetables at the same time such as carrots, Brussel sprouts or asparagus, and so on. So you can also save time.
Serving and Plating
I always do photoshoots for my cooking. So I always serve my food with a unique plating. You can listen to how I serve this food.
- Step 1
Prepare the serving plates you will use. Here I am using a white plate without curved sides because this type of food is dry food.
- Step 2
Spread the spicy sauce to your liking. You could say that the sauce is important to add detail to the beauty of the food on the serving plate.
- Step 3
Slowly add the sweet potatoes to the chopped side of the sauce.
In this process, I have to prepare a washcloth because this process messes up the plate with the sauce.
Pay attention to cleanliness on your plate.

Add toppings or garnishes for added detail. Here I am using red spinach leaves. Pretty pretty, right?
