SUPER EASY BANANA CAKE

Baking requires no exceptional skills especially when the recipe is as easy as 1, 2, 3 because anyone at this point can bake anything. Of course, there’s a program that can enhance and expand our knowledge about baking. But nowadays, people will just search videos on how to bake.
Here’s to another pandemic cake that I baked a few times already since quarantine.
It's super yummy and probably the most baked cake this pandemic.

Banana Cake

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 4 pcs medium ripe bananas
  • 1/2 cup white sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 tsp vanilla
  • 1/2 cup oil
  • 1/2 cup milk + 1 tbsp vinegar = buttermilk
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips (optional)

Procedure

  1. Prepare the baking pan. Grease it with butter or oil. Line it with parchment paper. Set aside.
  2. Prepare buttermilk mixture. Mix 1/2 cup milk and 1 tbsp vinegar. Stir and set aside.
  3. In a bowl, put the bananas and mash them with a whisk or fork until fine.
  4. Add the white and brown sugar. Mix well.
  5. Add the eggs. Mix until combine.
  6. Then add the oil. Mix well and add vanilla.
  7. Add the prepared buttermilk. Mix thoroughly.
  8. In a separate bowl, mix all the dry ingredients ( All-purpose flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt) Then sift and mix. Add chocolate chips (optional).
  9. Mix the dry and wet mixture.
  10. Pour the mixture into the pan. Bake in a preheated oven 180 degrees Celcius for 1 hour.
  11. Set aside and let it cool.

Note: When you search online on how to bake the banana cake, you’ll see different versions. Why? Because as I said, this banana cake has a very simple and common recipe you’ll get at the supermarket plus the procedure is all about just mixing and mixing it all. When you don’t have an oven, it can be done by steaming. When you don’t have a steamer, you can DIY a steamer.
