Hello everyone!
Today I will be participating in a contest initiated by #blurtchallenge which says "My favorite dance"
Dance is a performing art form consisting of sequences of movement, either improvised or purposefully selected. According to Wikipedia
I have always loved dancing since my first year in secondary school they were times I played songs on my phone and start dancing all by myself and immediately my siblings or my mum passes by I behave as if I wasn't doing anything.
My first time dancing in public was when my classmate in secondary school whose dad owns the school invited us to her 16th birthday party which took place in her house inside the school.
There were times I felt dancing was my talent even till now because there are some dance steps I don't learn once I see the moves or steps online then I get used to it on time and begin to dance it perfectly well.
Here is me dancing with my friends on stage
How I discovered Gwara Gwara
Gwara Gwara dance is a popular afro dance move initially started in South Africa by a musician Babes Wodumo. The dance move was created by disc jockey and producer DJ Bongz in 2016.
I have actually find it easy to practice alot of dance steps but practicing the Gwara Gwara was a little bit tough for me.
I actually came across this dance on tiktok during the lockdown period when people were at home all day and had to find something to keep them busy.
The Gwara Gwara dance mainly involves lifting and swinging one leg, then pulling the rest of your body into that movement.
