WEDNESDAY’S WISE WORDS
LOVE MORE
As a kid, I watched so many movies starring characters that portrayed and elaborated the theme of love to an extent I can’t forget. These movies so much affected my thinking. From what I saw in the movies, I thought love to be:
- Two partners almost half naked sipping tequilas under the hot sun on a beach.
- A man and a woman wearing matching outfits and snapping so many cute pictures for instagram.
- A couple taking a vacation and having the fun of their lives.
I’m all grown now and trust me, I regret watching those movies I watched. To an extent, I think they deceived me; love isn’t really what they (the movies) taught me.
Love is more than going on dates and wearing fancy matching outfits. It’s being there when all others are not. It is coming in when every other person is walking out.
It is very expensive and it comes with a price tag. It is forgetting and forgiving even the biggest and most severe offenses.
Dear reader, I urge you to love and love more. Show care and affection for all you come by. Be ever ready to help. Show concern and keep a smile handy.
Love is one language that is understood by all the peoples of the world. When you love, you are happy.
You don’t need a soothsayer to tell you that I’m telling you the truth.
