DO NOT RELENT

I once read in a book that until death, people will inevitably face difficulties. The author didn't have my support. In my young and ignorant mind, I believed that as one grew older, obstacles and challenges would allow him to be free.

Today, seconds have turned to minutes and minutes to hours, hours to days, days to weeks, weeks to months and months to years, I have come to recognize the fact that man struggles and overcomes challenges all the days of his life. He’s only free when he stops breathing.

As a kid, my worries included passing my exams and not getting the chance to play as I intended. I’m all grown up now; I worry about so many things. If it’s not about school’s tuition, it’s about how to become a better and responsible man.

Not everything in life is rosy. It has so many difficult and rocky paths. One must be persistent and diligent in order to succeed.

There will always be difficulties. What matters is how you react to them. Do you let them get to you? Do you cry and wait for help from heaven? Do you strive and put forth effort despite all obstacles and odds?

Challenges are like the sugar in a cup of tea. Without them, the story (tea) would be uneventful. They’d always come. They are part of life. Hold on.

Do not relent.
