Angel of The Breath of Life - NFTArt

An angel has arrived at @nftshowroom and brings a message of love and reconciliation with nature to all human beings, it is the Angel of the Breath of Life who cares for all living beings and works to preserve life on this planet.

This work is a work done by two hands; On the one hand we have Mariana Vasquez, who is my wife, my model, my muse and my inspiration. She was in charge of the make-up and hairstyle, apart of course from the leading role of playing the angel.

On the other hand, I (Fran Afonso) was in charge of selecting the costumes, suggesting the makeup combinations, taking the photos and digitally processing the images.

Our combined effort gave this result with which we are both satisfied.

Angel of the Breath of Life is a work fundamentally oriented towards love for plants, nature and the need (for some invisible) to integrate ourselves with these elements as an essential way to preserve our existence.

Angels have always caught my attention, even without considering whether they are fantasies, mythologies or reality; I think that has never mattered to me, because the idea of ​​winged beings that can move comfortably both in the sky and on earth is enough to captivate me.

For thousands of years humanity has been talking about angels and for me they have always been a very poetic way of expressing the life that I believe exists beyond the life we ​​know. So I always have and surely always will have strong reasons to include angels in my works.

But at the same time, the cultures through which I met angels have always told me that his existence is not accidental and that each angel has his own mission, so I grew up with that idea. Therefore, apart from simply wanting to represent angels in my works, I also have the desire to make them do something, to give them a task.

In this case, Mariana and I decided to give our angel the task of taking care of life, and what better way to represent it than with plants? So we decided that our angel would be in charge of giving the breath of life to living beings.

The setting for our work was not a coincidence either, we decided to give the work a very personal touch and we took the photo (which has been the base canvas for this work) in the orchard of our garden. This place is very important to us since we spend an important part of our time taking care of these plants; we both like plants and we both also farm.

The plant we selected for the photo was not a coincidence either. That plant to which Mariana (the angel) gives her breath of life is a basil; a crop that we recently managed to establish and propagate in our orchard.

These plants have become our favorites because we greatly appreciate their flavor and aroma, we use them to make pesto sauce, which is very tasty for pasta, and we also include it as a spice for other sauces, we add it to rice and to different vegetable preparations. roasts that make up an important part of our diet.

And those were the powerful reasons that led us to select these plants and this place to stage the play.

Here I combined something fantastic that has captivated me all my life with promoting the conversation and protection of nature, as well as the importance that plants have for all humanity; for it is something that I commonly feel compelled to do, I believe it is the right thing to do, and I feel deep in my heart that it is indeed the right thing to do.

Mariana and I participate together in each step of the process, even in the digital edition of the image, and before finishing it we evaluate it well and decide that the work is ready when we feel truly satisfied with the result.
