When the first human-woman of Thibi, Baba Adam (a.d.) and mother Hawa (a.d.) came down from heaven to earth, Allah said, Kulnah Bitu Minha Jamia. You all descend from my paradise. If you follow any guidance from me, then you have nothing to fear or worry about. Then Baba Adam (AS) became the first prophet of the world. From then on, the line of prophethood started and ended till our beloved Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH).

A total of two hundred and twenty four thousand prophets and messengers are described to have come to this world. Of these, only twenty-five prophets and messengers are mentioned in the Holy Qur'an. Let's take a brief look at the prophets mentioned in the Qur'an.

Now only the last divine book, the Qur'an, is left to guide the world humanity. Out of 1 lakh 24 thousand prophets, only 26 prophets and messengers are mentioned in the Qur'an. The names of 16 of them are mentioned in verses 63 to 6 of Surah An-Nam. The names of the rest are mentioned in different places in the Qur'an. Only the story of Yusuf (AS) has been narrated together in Surah Yusuf. Allaah said to the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him), 'We have sent before you many Messengers whose narrations have been narrated to you and many Messengers whose narrations have not been narrated to you.' (Surah An-Nisa ': 184, Surah Mumin: 6).

The purpose of narrating the story of the previous Prophet-Messenger in the Qur'an is so that the Prophet (peace be upon him) may be ready to fulfill the responsibility of prophethood and his ummah may learn from it. Allah says, 'I strengthen your heart by narrating to you these stories of the Prophets. And in it came the truth, the advice, and the memorable things for the believers. ' (Surah Hud: 120).

Created Adam What happened then?

Then He created the first man. He created him from dust. (Surat al-Baqara: 30) After the body of clay was formed, He put life into it. He became a living man. God named him 'Adam'. He did not make Adam a mere living being. Rather Khalakal Insan, Allamahul Bayan-made him human and taught him to speak.

All the prophets and messengers who came to the world came from four generations. Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning): “Verily, Allaah has chosen Adam, Nuh, Ibraaheem and Aaale Imran, who were descendants of one another.” (Surah Ale Imran: 33, 34). Here, Ale Ibrahim means Ishmael and Isaac (AS) and Ale Imran means Moses (AS) and his descendants. The last Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) was born in the family of Ishmael (peace be upon him), the eldest son of Ibrahim (peace be upon him). Hazrat Ibrahim (a.s.) is called 'Abul Ambia' or the father of the prophets as he was the ancestor of both the sources.
