A hike up in the mountains would not be complete without a least one wildlife sighting! It would be fun to see a bear or a grizzly sometime, not close though, maybe from a vantage point where a quick getaway is in the cards. Don't have to worry about the squirrels though. They won’t bite or maul. This little guy we found, was out digging around by the Rock Isle lake viewing area. Marmots and Pine Martens can also be found in this general area.
