Hello everyone
This is a fictional story i will like to title.
THANK GOD IT WAS ONLY A DREAM
It was a dark strapless night. The moon was now in sight. The crickets didn't chirp; the frogs weren't present. It was only the hooting of the owl and the regular flapping of the bats' wings that could be heard. My mother and I were going to take my best friend to her house in our car. She had paid me a visit. As we went along, we chatted about various things ranging from our education to horror stories. Then, all of a sudden, the car stated jerking, then swerving to the left and then to the right. By this time, we had started screaming and for help, but because we were on a very lonely and bushy road, and nobody heard our cries for help. In due course, I fainted.
When I woke up, I looked around me. The pungent stench of the forest we crashed into was choking. The floor was damp, and due to the absence of the moon, not even a ray of light was able to penetrate through the closely packed trees. At first, I started panicking as I couldn't find my mother or my best friend.I later resorted to screaming for help, but my only response was the hooting of an owl and the occasional flap of a bay's wing.
There was something sinister about the place and I knew it, but I didn't know where to start my search. I felt as if zombies were lurking around the dark shadows of the tall trees. I crouched on the floor and started looking for anything like a stick that could serve as a guide out the forest. I found a rod whose origin I was unaware of. I began using it to locate my way out. Then I stopped dead in my tracks. I had hit something big and soft. I bent down to take a closer look at what I had struck and behold, it was my beloved mother. She was soaked in blood, but she was alive.
My mother was trying to tell me something. She was trying to alert me of a possible danger, but I didn't understand her. I suddenly had an instinct to turn around and when I did, I met a pack of zombies one of which was my best friend. They started ripping my clothes, tearing out and eating my flesh.
I screamed, then I woke up, My eyes were red. Sweat poured down like water from my body and I felt sick but relieved. I muttered: "Thank God, it was only a dream".
Thanks for reading through.
Happy Sunday.
