The demand for tea in Bangladesh has increased all over the world.

Despite the negative impact on the country's overall export sector, the demand for Bangladeshi tea has increased in the world. In the last financial year, where most of the exports had a negative impact, the income of this product had a positive growth throughout the year. Not only that, in the first month of the current financial year, in July, tea exports have increased by a record amount of 100 percent. The product's export target in July was set at ৩ 34 million. At the end of the month, it was calculated that the income from the export of tea was 8 million US dollars.
According to the concerned, the products which have increased the demand in the world due to Corona include medicines and pharmaceutical products. Along with this, the export of tea as an agricultural product has also increased. Because tea is being used as an important beverage to prevent Kavid-19 infection. This has created additional demand for the product worldwide. Apart from this, even though India has a big role in exporting tea to the world, tea leaves have not been picked from the country's tea gardens due to the long lockdown due to corona. As a result, there is a shortage of tea internally in the neighboring country. In this case, the demand for tea in Bangladesh has increased in many countries.
