The government will have to spend ড 4 per dose to buy the corona vaccine, which is Rs 339 in Bangladeshi currency. And it will be sold to the public for 5 dollars or 423 rupees. However, this is not the final decision. This vaccine can be given free of cost. Meanwhile, the finance department on Monday released Tk 635 crore to buy the vaccine. The health department initially wanted Tk 1,261 crore to buy the corona vaccine. A total of 14 thousand crore rupees will be needed to buy the vaccine for 16 crore people.
10 thousand crore has been allocated in the budget of the current fiscal year 2020-21. The government is hoping to get the rest of the money from development partners. Besides, Tk 100 crore has been allocated for the promotion of vaccine activities.
