November is a good time to plant sweet potatoes.
Cultivation of the soil The soil is prepared by a ladder and the potato vines are planted in rows.
The row to the distance line will be 60 cm. And the distance from the vine to the vine will be 30 cm.
The vine should be cut in such a way that 2-3 gits are underground.
40 kg manure, 500 g TSP, 300 g urea and 300 g MP per hectare should be used.
Two months after planting, 300 g urea and 400 g MP Kileb should be mixed in the surrounding soil.
At this point the bright apples need to be served. For this, to understand the humidity of the world, it should be given 1-2 more irrigation.
Sweetpotato does not have many diseases or pests. Sweetpotato can be attacked by overeating. When the potatoes are covered with soil, the weevil does not attack.
Sweet potatoes can be harvested within 130-150 days of planting.
Varieties of sweet potatoes
Different varieties of potatoes are grown in different parts of Bangladesh. The yield of improved varieties is much higher than that of local varieties. Satisfaction with orange are the two most tolerant varieties. Yield is 30-40 tons per hectare. The species is purple, the leaves are green, the roots of the fruit are white, and the shells are bright yellow. It contains a small amount of carotene.
