To control sleep and alertness throughout the day, our body produces hormones at a certain rhythm around the clock. One of these chemicals is cortisol. This hormone regulates how alert we are.
Cortisol production is higher at certain times of the day, and less at certain times.
According to science, coffee or any other caffeine should not be consumed at high levels of cortisol production. Because drinking this time not only destroys the effect of coffee on the body but also prevents the effects of caffeine. This means that even if you drink the same amount of coffee that you normally drink, you will not be satisfied.
Wondering when to drink coffee? Roughly a certain amount of time has been taken out which is considered to be the best time to drink coffee. However, it applies to those who get up between six and eight in the morning.
7:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. Cortisol levels rise by about 50 percent during this time, known as the 'cortisol awakening process'
12 noon to 1 pm: During this time, cortisol levels are lower than in the morning. This is the regular dose.
Six to seven in the evening: During this time cortisol levels are released and regular sleep is disturbed.
So the best time to drink your favorite coffee is from 9.30 am to 11.30 am. From half past one in the afternoon to five and a half in the afternoon or after seven in the evening.
