Winners of the Most Insane Blurtaverse Avatar Contest

in blurtaverse •  3 years ago

OK, prize time!

I seem to have forgotten to process the end of the Insane Avatar Contest - so here is the end.

Before I get to that, I just wanted to make some comments. It struck me that expressing insanity in an avatar was less obvious than I first thought. I mean, just look at the example given.

Too many avatars come from fantasy or war games, violence and scifi, horror and cutesy - all stock stuff, but I wasn't really looking for that. If you think of insane movie characters, they look quite normal on the surface - and that's the problem with making a visual representation. One can only see the image, there are no actions to go with it. I thought there were enough variables in the avatar creation app to make someone extra-ordinary.

Anyway, shan't dwell on this, but thought it interesting.

Prizes...

In no particular order...

@aronexxon

@tempertantric

@cryptopie

@ciderjunkie (prize already sent)

and to complete the pentaverse...

@ekads

Congrats to all! To all winners who haven't yet received their 1 BYT prize, please verify your account username on Hive-Engine; I shall not assume it's the same as here.

Now, thinking of a next contest...

For an extra 1 BYT prize, can anybody figure out a movie character, or "real life" character, that closely resembles the example avatar shown in the post?

I will accept more than one if there is a film I have overlooked.

Very good - yes, a touch of Oldman's Dracula - but wasn't the main image in my mind.
Indeed, the image I had was probably a superposition of things, but I then did do a search just to verify I'd kinda remembered properly.

The dress codes available for the avatar were pathetic, so I prob would have gone for the 19th C suit and cloak - just couldnt see it there.
