Abandoned Lady Sketch

Hey Blurt Friends! And Artists!
I trust you all are doing very well.
For my artist friends, have you guys ever worked on something and then give up along the way?. I mean have you ever started a sketch and stopped halfway? Doing those times, what happened? Or what could have been the major reason or challenge that could have made you give up on that piece of work?

Well, today I am sharing with you guys one of my works I abandoned, or better still gave up on because of one thing or the other. I still remember vividly that I started this sketch late in the night and because of this, I got really tired along the way, my eyes started hurting and I had a migraine so I decided to pause for a while and get some rest hoping to continue the next day or so, but sadly that day never came, I kept seeing the last few steps or process I saved on my file but I still didn't do anything about the unfinished work.

To put it right, I kept procrastinating, only hoping and wishing I would complete the sketch but that never happened, days passed and turned into weeks but I still didn't do anything about it, and having gone through my file today again, I saw this sketch and decided to ask you guys either way if such happens or occur to you as well as an artist and in such cases, what do you do about it?. Are you guys always able to go back to a particular work and complete it no matter how old or long it had stayed?

I can't say for sure that I always have the inspiration or energy to go back to old work and complete it, that is why I never start a sketch or work I can't or wouldn't complete within 24 hours or more cause if I do, I might just end up abandoning the whole work later on.
I didn't go so far with this sketch work, technically, there was still a lot of work to be done on it as you guys can see. Here, I will show you a few processes of the work so you could tell from the steps how I started and how far I still had to go.

Work Process

And there goes my unfinished and abandoned work. I don't wish to continue with this and I hope not to keep up with this attitude in the nearest future. Yes, I hope I can get over the phobia of not completing a sketch when I start and pause it, that I can still return to it and complete what I started.
So my dearly beloved artists, how do you guys tackle this challenge I am facing or having? Do you even see this as a problem as well? If not, share your experience.

To my faithful readers and wonderful sponsors, my heart goes out to you guys. Thank you for making my journey here a fun-filled and exciting one. Thanks for trusting and supporting my work too. I pray that God blesses you all real good :)
