through flesh and scattering bone fragments and blood around.
The assailed ?uietly dropped his head to his steering wheel as the fall made
the car swerve and crash into the first traffic lamp at the side of the road.
The impact made the car come to a halt as fumes emanated from its hood.

center of his head, he was dead for sure and he knew it.
Screams of women and children, including some men, rang the air? pigeons
gathered at the side of the road, eating whatever they could find off the
floor suddenly took to flight as the fluttering of their wings blended with
the screams. Cars swerved, jamming their brakes in confusion and
screeching their tires so that they did not cause an accident or two.
