Biblically the fig appears in several fragments of the Bible, we have to be clear that God does not make, write or create something without purpose.
A fig tree is a tree that can develop in places with not very fertile land, it can even grow on stony ground, its fruit is deep in color, has a distinctive shape and a peculiar soft aroma.
The first time the word fig or fig is pronounced we can find it in genesis, when Adam and his wife cover themselves with leaves from this tree.
Throughout the scriptures we can see that the fig tree is mentioned by the prophets in different passages as if it were a measuring instrument (thermometer, manometer ect), of the spiritual condition of the nation of Israel - removed as punishment, and flourishing in restoration times.
The Lord Jesus Christ uses the fig tree as a metaphor for how we should recognize the signs of the times This end-time warning system with the analogy.
Learn this lesson from the fig tree: As soon as its branches become tender and its leaves sprout, you know that summer is near. 33 Similarly, when you see all these things, know that the time is near, at the gates.
Matthew 24:32
If we realize the purpose of these words is to create expectations about the end of the world and especially its second coming since there is no one who can know exactly the day and time where these events will occur.
In the fig tree is the key to his next coming.
Let us ask the Holy Spirit of God to lead us to the truth in his revelation and wisdom, let us have our lamps filled with oil, repent of sin and seek more of his presence.
Below I show you a photographic sequence of its preparation.
