Hope your day went well
Decided to tell a story centered towards love drama. Which is not mostly in my area of expertise😂 as I mostly prefer combat or action stories. For this I started with the classic princess struggling to be allowed to marry a commoner thin. The difference though is how I plan to resolve the issue in the story which won't be entire told in this part one.

Story
In the land of Mina which was a blissful and progressive land under the rulership of a peaceful and wise King who had a beautiful princess and is in search for a groom for her. His name was King Philip and his daughter princess Ina.
The princess enters the thrown room and approaches the King
King Philip: My beautiful daughter come to spend some time with your old man. With your mother away this days for matters in regards to the kingdom its always good to spend some time with you.
Ina: Greetings father my king, indeed you are right I have come to spend some time and have a chat with my father. Although I believe you forgot that you asked to see me if I was free earlier today. With the business of your work it most have skipped your mind. I do miss mom as well. And she would be back by the weekend at most.
King : yes daughter dear I seem to have forgotten about that. By the way is best I enjoy the presence of my child before she runs off and gets married you know it would be quiet with out you around just us old lovebirds with your mom. In that regards have you found any of the nobles to your liking I assume they most have made their attempts already giving as you are barely around In the palace. Perhaps you are sneaking around to meet someone special huh.
Ina: (She laughs a little) who knows my kIng, however it may not be the case. I sense you already have a few in mind to have brought this up. However father what if to say my interest does not lie in nobles or royalty Is the princess not allowed to marry a man she chooses even if it's a commoner? Or is our kingdom like many more that stick only to royalty and the elite as a choice of marriage for the princess. I don't think it's necessary because I already have my older brother who is basically the heir to your thrown so I don't see why there should be any restrictions.
King: with the way you are going with this, do you have feelings for a commoner. Because it's a long standing ovation that the princess should marry a noble and frankly I believe there are fine young men in our kingdom of that class that are as respectful and don't discriminate and even seem like commoners . Am afraid that can't be negotiated. Seeing so, maybe I will arrange an event so you can meet some of them and who knows you may find one to your liking.
Ina: I don't really think that would work either ways father. You have already given them much freedom to come visit me if they have intentions of marriage and outside the palace thy know where to find me as well with the women and children and in schools. However if the title is the major condition then it's okay father. I think this conversation with all due respect should end here, I will think about it and probably give the nobles a chance. King : okay my dear Ina, how about we go play some games outside and pass the time .
And so they went to courtyard and played some games from board games to physical activities and discussed about other things.
Later on the princess went back to her room and was puzzled about how to handle the situation it was obvious for political reasons her father and the nobles will see no need to allow her marry a commoner and it would benefit the counsel and the nobles more. So she had to find another way. Not really secretly but you could say secretly she is in love with a commoner but at least he is Rich is just he does not have a title to be classified a noble.
After poundering so much she still could not come up with anything and ofcourse just went to sleep. Later in the weekend the queen returns and was welcomed in the palace. The next day she went to talk to her mom in that regards and got much of thesame answer as her father. Still no means and no way out.
That evening she noticed her parents where not in court room and went to find them and she heard the sound of music coming from somewhere. She followed it to the ball room where her father and mother the King and Queen where dancing the royal family dance in the sense of it was a dance style that was not common and the king learnt it from his grand father who invented it along with his grandmother as they loved dancing but did not teach it to anyone although they would display it on some occasions. And her as well her dad. loved the dance and also loves music and so princess Ina thought of something
Some few days later she met her dad after a meeting he had with his counsel as she wanted the discussion to be timed with when he will politically minded and asked casually with a glowing conversation how people become noble anyways and if on can be appointed just like that.
The king answered her that they mostly have family claims to properties that have did influence on the economy of the kingdom which is what makes them nobles and it goes deeper than that. However he could remember his grandfather once appointed someone a noble due to an exceptional deed. So it can definitely be awarded.
After the chat with her father she went back to her room and thought and thought and cracked and cracked her brain to think of something till finally her brain cracked and she slept off. While sleeping she had a dream about her and her lover dancing the family dance that her dad loves so much and the king was pleased and happy to see him dance that he praised him like a son in-law.
She then woke up. With that dream a bit forgotten and as she got something to eat. While eating the images in the dreams where coming to her head and she was fantasizing till she actually got an idea.
And the ran to the King and happily told him the kingdom has been silent and boring with no event involving everyone for the past few days so how about a festival.
The king was not so sure about the idea but he may humour her and agree to it. However her plan with the festival is to use it to get her love.
