Rarible and other NFT disasters ...

So I have been trying to figure out the whole NFT market craze for a few months now... probably a year.

I have signed up to all of them... Rarible, Makersplace, Wax, Hive NFTSHOWROOM etc...

They all seem like a massive scam to me.

I was able to mint a few after paying very high fees. I sold a few for pennies.
The people who collect them will probably sell them for $ 100 ?

I have asked other artists if they have sold anything on any of them and it seems like as usual if you are in a circle of friends you buy each others artwork hoping someone somewhere will come along and pay more than a few pennies for your Digital Artwork.

Most have sold none, or maybe 1 for a few pennies.

So now there is a flood of artists trying to get in on Rarible etc and paying massive $100 Ethereum fees to mint their digital art, and then nothing happens... Maybe a temporary glitch ?

I think the NFT market will collapse so I am staying clear. Sure there are stories of some well established artists making 6 Million dollars in one day but I think most artists will pay $100 in Ethereum and sell nothing.

I think you are better off just sharing your Artwork on Blurt and powering up to earn more Blurt from Curation.

These are a few complaints from the Rarible Bulletin Board ....

Try minting your first tweet 😉

Honestly, I never understood about the value of collectibles and antiques, NFT or not! But if you want to experiment then why use Ethereum? Just use some low or zero gas fee chain. Who knows, you may get more traffic and money some day!

I will go back and see if I can find my 1st Tweet from 2008.

Right, that's what I thought months ago - just look at the fees - and fees for very little!
there are good uses for NFTs, like ticket sales and coupons for something else. IMVHO ;-)

It looks like a bubble to me ....

Even basic search functions are not implemented on rarible. The app seems like it's in POC stage.
