Blurtart : Oil painting from the Rideau River

This is a small 8 x 10 oil painting from my kayak on the Rideau River.

Painted very quickly on Masonite board with thick oil paint.

I am next to a small island here with cedar trees growing out over the water .... in the distance is a larger island with Maples, Birch, cedar and pine trees.

It’s a beautiful part of the Rideau River. Most of the leaves are gone now and we are waiting for the snow so we can get back out on our snow shoes.

Maybe do some ice fishing.
