This is a small watercolour painting I made of the famous lightsaber battle between Darth Vader and Obi-wan Kenobi.
I still remember how I felt when the hero Obi-wan gets struck down by the Dark Lord Vader ....
These are the steps in my painting process...
May the Force be with you Blurtters
Somehow I thought Bernie would be in this one too.
Yeah.... Bernie is everywhere these days.
Haha, I was thinking the same thing before seeing your comment.
Certainly that scene, in that movie, is a classic.
May the force be with you!

Thank you very much.
Nicely done. Have you ever made money from your talent with art?
Yes.... I used to sell my paintings in Art galleries. A small 8 x 10 oil painting for $1,000.... the Gallery takes 1/2 ... so I get $500.... then I am required to claim as taxable income and the Government takes $250.... it costs $250 for frame, canvas, paint and brushes .... so I got zero. So, Now I donate them to Charities like Habitat for Humanity.... they Auction them off at Charity events where Doctors and Layers pay $2,000 since the money goes to build homes for people without homes. I get a Charitable Donation Tax Credit for $2,000 .... which results in paying less tax on my other income.
That's awesome, except for your governments cut. Here in the US the tax code is designed to benefit entrepreneurs. The saying that Robert Kiyosaki gives is if you work for others, you pay the government first. If you are a business, you pay them last. Meaning all expenses come out of the gross amount received before you owe tax. Here, all your supplies would be tax deductions. Even the gas you used to take it to ship, which here is around .50 per mile.
Glad you decided charity instead of thinking it useless. If you focus on things not copyrighted you might think about taking your past creations (and future) and uploading them to sites like Depositphotos. You won't get rich but it could provide an extra source of money as folks buy commerical rights to use as self published ebook covers, for their blogs etc.
Thanks ... that’s a great idea. Yes we can write off the expenses of the materials but If your show expenses are too high you get audited and it gets pretty miserable.
I earn more here on Blurt, Steemit, Appics, Noise.Cash for my artwork than anywhere else. Since it is crypto that goes up in value.
Potentially yes. Unfortunately when I bought into Steem it was over 2.00 each and I long ago suspected it will never hit that again. I feel for those who bought into it back when it was closing in on 8.00 each.
I really like your watercolor, the strokes are beautiful, maybe in the future I will paint something related to Star Wars, thanks for sharing.
This work is great I like this style of watercolors, everything is artistic and colorful, the characters are very good.
