Final Deadly Sin - Sloth

What is sloth? Apart from a creature that hangs in trees and sleeps a lot.
It's laziness.
I took the subject for this picture from my own life and how I was feeling at the time. That's my ex lounging around on the sofa and that's me walking out the door, suitcase in hand.

I didn't leave him in real life till a few years later, stuck it out for a few more years for the sake of the kids until it got unbearable for them too.
I think 2020-21 could be the years of the sloth with all the furloughing that's been going on. I know a lot of people really enjoyed not having to trek to a thankless job every day and took full advantage of it.
I don't blame them either, having been there, done that and worked my tits off for years I would not be able to go back to it at my age. I'd love to be able to enjoy a retirement. i'd love to get back to travelliing and seeing the world (the bits I didn't see 1st time round) but they kept moving the age of retirement right before the date and now the travelling is out of the question too.
I'll just have to try and enjoy this fake retirement for now and sloth around for a bit longer........
